Hi i,m new so be gentle .My names Natasha and i live in the north east of scotland with my husband and 2 son,s.We have all fallen in love with boerboels and i,ve spent alot of time over the past couple of months researching websites and speaking to a few breeders.I have joined this group as any help or advice would be much appreciated as i have always owned dogs but never this breed.I,m travelling down to the sabt appraisal on the 24th of may so that i have the opportunity to meet lot,s of breeders ,owners, and most important the dogs.I only realised yesterday that theres another appraisal in scotland on the 31st so i,m now wanting to go to that one aswell My husbands going to shoot me at this rate.I was wondering if anyone could advise what is the max amount you should pay for a pup in the uk?.Is there any litters due soon ?I,ve decided to hopefully get a girl as the advice so far seems to be a as a first time boerboel owner it,s a little easier with a bitch.Look forward to chatting thanks Natasha

Hi & welcome Natasha Its a good idea to do both which are run by the different organisations, SABT & Ebbasa , you will definately then see most of the linage around here in the UK. I had a bitch first, but as with my kids if I'd had a girl first would not have gone on. Don't get me wrong Buse is lovely , but it did take an awful lot of training to get her where she is now.Whereas Sim was much easier & not so guardy. This might also be attributed to the fact that he had a 'Matriac' in Buse so did as he was told, I don't know. Hope you manage to get to both appraisals, I'm sure you will enjoy them, ther are alot of very knowledgable people out there (myself excluded unfortunately LOL) Ju

Hi Natasha and welcome to the board. Hope you'll enjoy it and most of the time (99.99%) there's a really good tone in here so don't be afraid to ask questions! I have 3 bb's, 2 females and now my first male (10 months old now). I must say he's the easiest dog so far! But then Chilis always been more than a handful, but that's the way I like it so I'm not complaining Want to read a bit about my dogs you can visit them here; chili.arivene.net/Ewa
