Hi all,
Well a lil' bit about me and my envolvement with BB's - Ten years ago, I researched the boerboel for Dr. Carl Semencic of America, for inclusion in his book "Gladiator Dogs", ( a t.f.h publication – ISBN 0-7938-0596-1 ). I translated what info I could find to English, including the breed standard. At the time a made numerous calls to Kobus Rust, then chairman of SABT. I visited a variety of owners and breeders of boerboels, interviewing them and taking photogrphs. This process caused a deep patriotic stirring, especially for afrikana, and a passion for the boerboel. I emigrated to UK shortly after that, and dearly wanted to import a boerboel, but I was not going to jail a dog for 6 months, let alone a young pup for it's entire adolescence, in quarantine, just because it is a breed I desire to keep, regardless of the patriotic heritage the boerboel brings.
I have always been a dog-man, have bred and showed Bull Terriers in SA, and served on BT club commitee there - but for the last 10 years, I have maintained a desire to be involved with boerboels, yearning to own one.
At this stage I cannot own one, as I already have 2 Bull Terriers, but I desire to be involved with boerboel societies non-the-less, and would like to go through the training to become a boerboel Assessor.
Regards, Malcolm Wren EngelseBoer

Hi Malcolm Welcome to the board. Regards becoming an appraiser I'm sure you would have had some guidance from your posting of the same on UKBC board. If not Tracey Lilburn is busy in the process at the moment to become fully fledged & I'm sure she would be able to help you.Sorry I can't be of anymore help. As you have brought up this question, would like to know if there are any differences between being SABT or an Ebassa appraiser, as regards the qualifications etc. Regards Ju
