Good morning. I have a question that I hope someone here can answer. My wife and I are considering purchasing a Boerboel from a breeder here in Georgia. The breeder is Estes Boerboels. They have a litter that is due November 15, 2011 and we are on the list for 2nd pick male or 1st pick female. While looking at the sire and the dam of this litter we saw their HD ratings and are somewhat concerned/confused.
The male’s HD rating is listed as follows: L-.53/R-.47 The female’s HD rating is listed as follows: C1-C1
From our research, it would appear that neither of these ratings are particularly good. Should we steer clear of this litter? We certainly don’t want to purchase a Boerboel that has a higher degree possibility of HD. Any advice you can offer would be very helpful and appreciated.
Thanks, Cary
