Just seen the dog whisperer thingy on U tube. IT was the one shown own national geographic with Patti Labelle. I know their was some talk before it was shown but not having the benefit of sky i didn't see it. My computer sound is down so would love to know whats going on. Did anyone see the whole thing on sky? The rumour at the time was the dog whisperer bombed big time?

Hi Sandra, Haven't been abducted by aliens or beamed up by the enterprise! All dull stuff. Worked bombed big time and after five years of being my own boss i start back in the world of an employee on Monday. Still had an eye on whats what but much to my disappointment just couldn't make the appraisal. The mundane things in life like paying bills and making sure the kids are feed keep getting in the way!!

Hi JU and Sandra
Would love to come down to Devon but things just to busy at the moment. Things are heading in the right direction although my wife still hasn't got the purchase of a new puppy at the forefront of her mind!

Simon, you need your life on an even keel to have a puppy, they love routine.Your wife is probably right, best to wait till life settles down to a normal pace before you start thinking of a pup again.I'll just keep you going with puppypics.Sandra.

Simon Like I said before we operate an open house policy & all are welcome - no matter who you are.So if ever you fancy a break with wife & kids , shall be more than happy to entertain etc. Hope the new job goes well & yes I agree with Sandra these dogs need routine etc.In the morning the dogs know better than to jump up & ask for fuss - we have a 5 minute rule, & then when we call them to be fussed they come.Alot better than being 'mugged' when you're half asleep! Shall be taking them to Tewkesbury Medieval Fayre on Sunday - which is absolutely hysterical - you come away thinking you are the one that is not normal. The kids love the weirdness of it though being the ages they are - so expect more pics! Keep the pics coming Sandra! I wont tell my wife you think she's right, although i know she is[as always!!]
Thanks for invite Ju it is much appreciated. I have for a long time implemented the 5min rule. Have read the Jan Fennel way of training along with many others!Has worked well with some dogs but my RR is a law until himself! Off camping this weekend in Suffolk. 12 adults, 5 kids and 2 dogs.!!!needless to say plenty of liquid refreshments and it should be a laugh if nothing else.
Thanks again..........Simon

Hi Simon Have a good trip - hope the weather improves. I know what you mean about the RR - for love nor money we could not get her to understand the 5 minute rule. Her older 'boyfriend' who she now lives with is so laid back - so when the new owners had Tuke they didn't quite know what a whirlwind of a RR had hit them! I guess like in anybreed it depends on the linage etc. Ju
