Just a question - Are the Ebbasa appraisal in Germany just for invited people or?
There's absolutely NO mentioning about any other appraisal on Ebbasa- Europe's homepage than the one being held yesterday. It says there will be appraisals 2007 in several countries but I can't seem to find any dates what so ever.

Congrats Vikki & Mark on Vandals score. I met him in Devon last year - he sure is a handsome looking dog - but too much of a handful for me!

Great organisation, again for a club he? So maybe there are more Ebbasa appraisal dates set but if one doesn't know on which homepage to look one can't know? Interesting approach from an organisation that wants to represent the bb and have more members. Maybe you could have posted something about it here for the readers that don't visit your page. Ewa

Then there must be a special club - Since me and Ryk has been asking several times - on this board for appraisal dates - and not been given any notice to our questions.
I thought atleast the countries representatives could have replied with a "don't know" since the homepage of Ebbasa obviously has it's faults.
But then maybe visitors is not wanted? Ewa

Then there must be a special club - [...] But then maybe visitors is not wanted? Ewa You may not belive it but sometimes people are busy! Think what you want, maybe you should think about it before you imply such bad things and write rude answers. Shame on me Ii forgot to mention a german appraisal here!

So I guess everybody is busy. But good luck with your workshop/appraisal. Pitty we will miss it. Ewa

It´s a bit hard to say anything about when appraisals are and are not, the trouble is that there is no-one to organise that side of things here in Europe. We still do not know whether there will be an EBBASA appraisal in Denmark this year or not.
As for an appraisal in the UK, we hope to get a positive answer tonight.
Regards Anne and Shaun

We have an answer now and there will be an appraisal in uk on the 27th May. Details on the forum about appraisals. I hope everyone works together to make this happen, that way it may become easier next year.

Regards Anne and Shaun But what I can't seem to understand is that there is an European office, there's representatives but still nobody knows anything! And when then an answer is supplied saying "Theres not enough time to put it on the website of the org" I'm starting to wonder why on earth one should pay fees to these organizations? Who isn't busy and who doesn't like to plan ahead? In Europe most countries are so close that one can go to an appraisal any were - if one knows about it in time and can plan in order to get the dog back into it's home country again. Ewa

The European office handles the paperwork, and they do not have anything to do with any decision making, they do their job free of charge and only to help EBBASA and it´s members. I think that the main problem is a lack of structure, what is needed is an European EBBASA that is structured and run from Europe. One that is affiliated and an integral part of the African organisation but with a certain amount of autonomy with concerns to European meetings and appraisals. Maybe also concerning the paperwork, after all it is a bit top heavy sending all the papers to SA and then waiting for them to return when everything can be dome electronically in a bat of an eye. Let´s see where progress takes us.

Hi Shaun I was talking to Patricia a while ago and she was telling me that she now fills in the pedigree papers in Belgium after the appraisals so it should speed up the paperwork for the dogs.Looking foward to the EBBASA appraisal on the 27th.Regards Paul.

Christophe is always very helpfull, we are sending a lot of emails and will talk today. I toled him that I am disappointed about the organisation but he can only give me the information he recieves form SA. And I think this is the main problem.
Sorry if I git you wrong Ewa but it is not my fault. I have send Emails with a invitation through my forum and you are also registered so you must have recieved it too.
Anne, it would be great to have a danish appraisal again, the SABT in on this island and it costs me too much money and time to drive there. I wanted to appraise Bakkies with SABT again, will talk to you about it. You must have a look at him and see if he has improved.

I have send Emails with a invitation through my forum and you are also registered so you must have recieved it too.. I haven't recieved anything from your forum. But then one of the reasons I stopped going to your homepage was that there was often problems for me logging in. Just couldn't be bothered with the problems when I don't understand much of what I read I'm not even sure I still got the mailadress that is registered in your forum either. As for the problems with S.A - That is my point - These organisations run their own show - from S.A and we all (member, owners, breeders etc) just have to accept their ways. But this is 2007 and cyberspace has been invented for a long time, electricity even longer and phonelines too. So I can't see a reason as to why everything has to be a big secret up untill the very last minute. What is the point of having representatives if you don't inform them?
