Some African advice???

I was out socialising Minnie today in our local shopping centre when I was approached by two armed private security guards of Indian descent. Not a problem, they stopped and played with Minnie, who dutifully bit their very shiny boots, undid their laces and generally endeared herself to them. Then an African chap ran past, Minnie jumped up to follow him, because he was running and puppies love to chase, not because he was African. The security men took this the wrong way and praised her effusively, saying that she would make a good guard dog and offered me the following training tip " take your garden boy's coat or sweater and sneak up behing the dog and throw it over her head and then hit her, this would make her associate the smell with a bad experience and ensure that she would protect you". My face must have been a picture! I could not believe my ears! I was totally and utterly disgusted and didn't hide it.
But this is what the breed is up against in some quarters here, I truly hope that these two, never get a Boerboel, although one did say he had a Boerboel X German Shepherd puppy. I hope it bites him!
