Hi Ewa and Shaun,
Paul and I would support either a new Uk or European Club provided that it was democratic among the members and non-political. For me the most important aspect would be providing support and advice for new and prospective BB owners. They need un-biased advice and to be able to understand what it is like owning a BB. Sadly this hasn't been available - instead some people have bought a puppy thinking it was a labrador and other's have been put off by the idea that loads of puppies were aggressive and un-trainable. Some with problems have just been advised to shoot their dog! This is what I would like to change and for us also to be ready to help with the rescue BBs that undoubtedly will start to appear in the UK.

Hi Meike,
I would like to meet you too - Paul likes his trips away on his own to see Shaun and Anne because he and Shaun can gang up on Anne!!!He has to behave when I am there!

Don't let yourself as wideopen as that when there's barracudas around Ewa

Hi Ewa, I knew you would be with me on that statement. I am really lucky to have an Ewa as well as a lot of Boerboels, especially Mollie. Noone can ask for more than good friends and loving dogs. I can teach you the trick with the sandwich if you want me to Hugs Anne

.If I knew the whys and wherefores I would start a club up myself as I have a lot more time I have sent you a little guideline on how to start a club up. It covers most things and since I have been the Commodore of a quite large sailing club for some years, I have actual experience that could be of assistance to you. Anyone else who wants the guidelines can just ask. Shaun

I think the most important part is to define goals
Good Clubs also have a ZTP (Zucht Tauglichkeits Prüfung, which is a breeding suitability test).
I would really like the club to have one. It covers health and temperament.

Hi Geri I agree with what you're saying - I do not think a new BB club though should be made up committee wise ,of purely breeders. How about some of us 'minions' who only own 1 BB etc ? Ju

Hi Everyone,
My view is that it would be essential for any committee to be made up of a cross section of people and that each year everyone would be up for election by the members. The club would be there for everybody and welcome everyone, except trouble makers!Paul and I would be keen to help and be members. although we both work full-time.
When can we get started?
Geri
