Hi everyone the UK Boerboel club sent me an email regarding a female Bb needed re homing. She approximately five years old and her origins are unknown at the minute. I'm horrified to she such an amazing lass look this way. She looks to me to be a great example but I'm no expert. I'm going to contact them with a view to re homing her. If anyone recognizes her any info would be greatly excepted. who ever let her get in this state deserves to be shot. Perhaps someone here bred her and could help trace those responsible. I know it's a long shot being how she's fivish now but you never do know. Hope I've managed to post the pics correctly!!!!! [/img]

The female looks more like a bullmastiff cross than a pure Boerboel, her condition could be attributed to the fact that she has recently had puppies. Usually a couple of weeks on a chicken diet will sort that out. I am more concerned about what happened to the puppies.

Hi again. can't seem to get the pics posted. they seem to be to large! I'll check but no the doubt Boerboel club has the same images. her names Fizz. I don't now If she's a pure BB but the club said she was. I too am very concerned about the where abouts of her pups.

Paul and I both spoke to the dog warden who took her in. She has a micro-chip and seems to have been imported into the UK rather than bred here. It may be possible to trace her breeding through SABT or EBBASA since her passport presumably listed her as a BB. However she might not be registered - it might just be written on her passport.
It appears that she has had several litters of puppies but we have not heard anything of them. Presumably they have been sold un-registered?
She reportedly had a good temperament despite her mis-treatment so let's hope she does get a good home. I am sure Karen that she will recover with some good feeding.

The microchip number is a UK number that was inserted into the dog just previously to our first litter in the UK. The dog could not have been imported without a microchip, so the dog must have been born in the UK.
We know that there was an unregistered litter in Liverpool just before we had our first litter, and the age of the dog seems to fit.

thanks guys that's great. It's not good for the breed and it pains me to think that theres unregistered breeders out there. To anyone who is looking at this site thinking of getting a Boerboel, please think first. Unregistered dogs might be cheaper to buy, but the cost to dogs like fizz is unexceptable.

Hi Karen Unfortunately there are some breeders who are selling unregistered pups - but they seem to be the most exspensive ones too ! Ju

yes your right. unfortunately people don't do enough research when it comes to these types of things. I went to the dogs home yesterday and there was a husky, a pure breed lab and a boxer. Never mind the staffs and more strange two five months pups that were the spit of my pup louis. Very heart breaking. There were three dogs in for chewing!!!! I dispair at times I really do. I wonder if I'l ever make a difference...........

Of course you will Karen - everyone who cares about animals will. It might seem like the 'little old lady peeing in the sea' scenario - but every bit helps. Ju

Nothing wrong with your own bubble Ju as long as no bugger bursts it!! I like the young man ref. I have taken a few pictures but she either doesn't stay still or because she is dark you cant really see her against my black kitchen floor!
I'll see i what i can do, must admit her growth rate is almost as rapid as Sims. She is now eating as much Kibble as my RR along with everything else
