At least we can still email and I'm usually in SA twice a year for visits!! ;D

You guys are sooooo fast!
Oh now, differences between U.K and S.A? The weather! It's winter here now, just 27C today, quite chilly. The main difference is that folks here take themselves VERY seriously, not a lot of room for laughs, especially in dogs. I find it a real shame that everyone in this breed seems to argue about everything all the time. I have always believed in being totally honest about my dogs, and I'm looked at with amazement when I say, yeah, he's a nice dog but his back end or topline isn't great or whatever. Out here everyone's dogs are PERFECT! I always worked on the policy that if I tell the whole truth people will believe me when I say something is good! Just my way, but gets misunderstood quite a lot here. I am also used to being involved in a very established breed (Newfoundlands) where the breed clubs act solely for the dogs, not the people, and enforce health testing etc, even to the point of subsidising testing days. A bit different to Boerboels.
These are great dogs and they deserve the best we can give them, a small price to pay for what they give us.
As you've notice, I can really go on and on and on...

We all love are BBs & like yourself ,as I have only 2 BBs that are pets & not for breeding find it funny when people look at me oddly when I say they are not perfect.My kids are not perfect either - but unfortunately I know one day they might breed LOL

Hi Jenny! Welcome to the board - Nice to have somebody that can tell about the situation in S.A straight off in here. Humor is on the level were we even got a chapter off it own for jokes. Maybe the sense of humor is mixed since we're a many colored bunch in here but so far I think we all been able to enjoy it. Moral of the board? You get as good as you give I think  When you get the blues all you have to do is come here and read the "jokes" section! Ewa (in Sweden) |

Well, if it's hairstyles we need, I've just cut mine and turned it red! Serves as an early warning I find! A case of never mind the dogs, beware of the owner!

Can I be a real pain and ask how you get photos on this site? I keep trying to load them and all it says is my files are too big. When I resize them to fit, they are like postage stamps and are still too big to be loaded! You lot are obviously a lot cleverer than me, let me into the secret, please, pretty please!!!

Hi Jenny welcome to the board.As Ewa stated its good to hear from someone in SA who has these dogs and uses them as they were intended.Everyone here is friendly and we all have a laugh at each others expense must be all the strange senses if humour myself included.Regards Paul.
