Hello everyone,
my name is Albert, husband of Dianne and we are owners of 2 Boerboels: Immer Moed Abel and Marvell Lucy II. Abel joined us in april 2004, Lucy half a year later. We live in a rural area in the north-east of the Netherlands, called 'de Wâlden' (the Forests in Frisian language). So far, we are 'would-be' breeders; just as we thought 'now is the time' we ourself became parents, and exactly one year later our second child was born ...
Cheers now,
Albert.

Hi Albert! Welcome to our little neck of the woods. Hope you like the level of conversation Are you maybe the Albert with a connection to South Africa and a little boy (?) that should be about a year now? If so we've talked previously on some other board. Ewa chili.arivene.net

Welcome Albert, you will have some lovely dogs from Willem,he is such a good guy and has so much knowledge.I am going out to see him in February after my trip to SA.He was here looking at puppies a while back and has one of our girls with him now.I hope you enjoy the board,we are not a bad bunch at all ,though sometimes some of them do have a strange sense of humour, especially one called Julie!!

Are you maybe the Albert with a connection to South Africa and a little boy (?) that should be about a year now? yep - that's me ... and that kid is my daughter, 1½ year old now - exactly 1 year older than her little brother ... you will have some lovely dogs from Willem,he is such a good guy and has so much knowledge.I am going out to see him in February after my trip to SA.He was here looking at puppies a while back and has one of our girls with him now.I hope you enjoy the board,we are not a bad bunch at all ,though sometimes some of them do have a strange sense of humour, especially one called Julie!! Pls give a call when you're around; we live rather close to Willem and meet him every now and again. I like any sense of humour ... Careful with the firecrackers tonight ... Albert. p.s. - had to think of Ewa 4 month ago, as we drove from Malmø to Finland ... - the south of Sweden sure is beautifull ! - and we saw our first Eland there ...

Hi ALbert! I can't believe you did that drive recently and didn't drop in for a coffee and a bb talk ! I am sooooooooooo disappointed in you. You passed my house within 500 meters on that route......... If you ever do that again I will most certainly never forgive you As a bb owner you're always welcome at our house. Ewa

Hi All My name is Jenny and I have been living in South Africa since moving from England (Sussex) 3 1/2 years ago. I own 2 Boerboels, one, a male of 3 years unregistered, farm bred, but mostly Mizpah breeding (I do have his pedigree), the other a 6 month old female of Spitzvuur breeding, we also have an aging Rottweiler male brought with us from England. We live on a farm in Natal where our dogs live as family and prove useful in warding off unwanted visitors and guinea fowl and mongoose! I love it here, but so miss the English sense of humour! Nobody understands me here and I end up with a lot of blank faces when I think I've said something amusing! Maybe I've lost my touch! Anyway, I adore these dogs and they have now taken over my life after breeding Newfoundlands for 20 odd years! I've got a lot to learn about this breed and hope that you will all bear with me asking questions all the time! I do know Sandra from the cold Northern parts, and look forward to making more friends on this site.

Hi Jenny Welcome to the board That is one thing you'll get alot of here is humour ;D No one takes anyone seriously - but advice is abundant & believe you me I have asked many a stupid question in the past , but have never been 'shot down in flames'. What do you find are the main differences between UK & SA ? & what do you miss most ? Ju

Hi Jenny ! - welcome here ... shure there's great humour here ... - although it sometimes seems to written in a different language ... - and sometimes in proper English (as far as I can judge ), with a scandinavian touch ... Btw - just don't take Ju seriously ... - she does that neither ... We are planning to move to SA too - as soon as our house here in Friesland is sold. We have a plot between George and Knysna, at the foot of the Outeniqua Mountains. How's your winter these days ? ;D Cheers now, Albert.
