Hi Guys Took Buse out with Dads 8 yr old retriever yesterday & as ever Mille like to hitch a ride when running with Buse via her neck. Buse is fine with this - Lord knows why, I wouldn't be!

I'm not sure but I think it might be a "retriever" thing. My spaniels used to do like that all the time. Great to see both dogs getting along so well. Ewa

Ewa Shes brilliant with all other dogs - no matter how tiny. Problem comes if an animal is larger eg Horse/Cow/Lion & she then always feels the need to protect. Why is this do you think - or is it that she just doesn't have the brains to realise they could do her damage ? Ju

Both mine are fine with other dogs aswell - Chili met 3 chihuahuas in the dog shop and they were barking and jumping and making a lot of comotion - Chili sat down on her entire behind and started looking at them like they were mad. I killed myself laughing at her 'cause you could really see she didn't understand what the comoton was all about!!! I've been having Chili meeting horses since she was a wee pup and we have no probs there either - unless you consider Chili wanting to play with the horse a problem!! Lions are a bit scares this end of the world so I really donät know how she would react Maybe Buse just thinks that is an awful big animal - better protect my family? I'm sure she has the brains to realize that the animal could harm/kill her but I do believe her instinct to protect is so much stronger than the drive for safety. Ewa
