Am bored with the Pennhip thread now as it is going nowhere.JMHO. RRs in this country who are born with no ridge or an incorrect ridge by 'most' breeders are put to sleep. Not because it is a health issue , just because it doesn't come up to the KC standards. In the same vein, I believe that liver noses in the BB is not acceptable - is there a health issue behind this? One of the most beautiful BBs who was a liver was over at Ewas last year. Please tell me if it is not a health issue none of you breeders out there would put a healthy pup to sleep. Ju

Hi Ju, The female in Sweden was Anasha Lilith. She is a beautiful powder with a gray nose. She can actually be appraised as her nose is not liver colour. The liver colour is not very good in the South African sun (lack og pigmentation) and that is why they are not accepted. Even if a puppy had the wrong colour or had some other cosmetic fault we would never put it to sleep. We would find a good pet home for it. Anne

Hi Anne Am pleased to hear that & also now curious to know how many 'livers' are out there. Lilith was gorgeous & the lady who owned her was a sweetheart with her grand-children there & speaking French etc. Please send my regards to her when you are next in touch - such a lovely lady. Who knows we might all get to meet up again if Ewa is doing repeat this year.(Might not be invited though) LOL Ju
