My husband and I live in the city of Seattle and just adopted a 7mth old Boerboel from a young man who was no longer able to keep him. We are so smitten with this dog/breed. We did research prior to adoption and this guy is living up to everything we have read. His temperament is amazing. There is a deep sweetness and loyalty in him that is so easy to see. We can hardly believe how terrific this dog is. So far he has met my whole family, which includes 5 other dogs, and even though we went slow he just is so playful that we just let them all play on the farm together where my family lives. He barked a bunch at the horses, but we are working on introducing him to the horses, the other dogs also barked initially at the horses so its no surprise. We have a second dog (hound/lab mix) and they play like they have known each other forever! Sorry the pic is huge, I am still figuring this whole thing out, this is a pic from his previous owner. We very much want to learn as much as possible about training this breed as it is clear they are very special. Anyway I will read through this forum and learn whatever I can. Thanks so much! Michelle
