Hey guy's !!! It probably would be a great trip - with or without navigator - But lets be realistic - You guys would probably hold it together for the first and maybe second place on that route and then you would come down to poor Meike and demand coffe and sleep And that is something I believe should be done at your own homes Ewa

Meike! Why can't Ollie fish??? When I look at the map, with the adress you've given you seem situated right smack on an small island in the middle of a lake? I'm glad you're not bringing weapons though!! I wouldn't know how to get the policeman out of swedish custody for shooting wild game Ewa

Hi Abel! Quote//"Somehow many threads in this board sooner or later turn out to be about food and booze - even when it´s about holiday in Sweden, of all places ... Brilliant idea, by the way, Meike - last august we traveled quiet a bit through Scandinavia (much to fast through Sweden into Finland and than further to the Barentzsea and back along the Norwegian coast), I found southern Sweden had a very nice atmosphere, a place to return to. Somewhere in this forum I read about a Chilli con Carne cooking event - will you be ´in retraite´ to practise cooking Chilli con Elch ?"// Unquote It gladdens me to hear you enjoyed my part of the world. Maybe the difference from the rest of the country comes from us providing the food for the rest of the country!! Food, in an historic perspective always had a huge center in southern Sweden! We're also told we're more easy going and mellow than the rest of the country - as well as we all should be stupid since were farmers The Chili con carne event is my brainchild - if you do a mean Chile - then lets make a date this summer and do some serious cooking! Normally we have a BBQ here in the south for bb owners during summertime - we could put a chile cooking event in the calender!! I was hoping for mental testing this year but it's you guys that come over that decides on the priorities Ewa

Shaun; It warms my heart to hear that you're finally using your plants! Seasons starting up again now so I'm about to put the seeds in soil now. This years experiment - Naga Morich - The hottest pepper in the world! If any of you Brits over there can get a hold of some fruits of Naga morich and send them over - You'll have a friend forever Sandra; The scotch bonnet is hotter than the Brazilian purple, but to a newbie Brazilian's still hot!! We still have some habaneros in the fridge. Last time I ate about 1cm2 of skin, automatically I started into an uncontrollable fit of hiccups, this is the real baddy. Anne has started eating chillies now, she says that they increase the metabolism and help us lose weight. I must say that it is working, we have both lost more than 1 Kg in the last week.

... and help us lose weight. ... Dear Shaun, I don't believe a word of this . Anyhow, it wouldn't work with me. You see, the fun of all this chilli (chili, chile, whatever ...) is that you're excused to drink unlimited amounts of Tuborg or something like that - and that doesn't really help losing weight (I'm proof of that ). And then: I don't know about you people, but if I hear/read the word 'scotch' it's not exactly peppers, bonnets of haggis that I'm thinking of, how 'scottisch' these may be. The word 'scotch' reminds me of Glenfiddich and other great Whisky's ... - cheers ! Albert.

Ju, The question you might need to ask is "Will you be my disciple?" before Sandra nabs him. By then there might also be other gods who will rule over U. geri

Hear you guys all experienced what Shaun will do with a bottle of good whiskey - so thats why one shouldn't bring whiskey for Shaun. Next thing we tried bringing was rum - Bacardi type - well what does the man do? All he has to mix it with is either cherry or vanilla coke!!!!!! Let me tell you - both are equally disgusting ;D Now lets talk business when Shaun can't hear it - Sandra, when we get together, bring a bottle of Knockando and I know were we can keep it safe from versatile things like water and coke Ewa

Abel; we Scandinavians has been getting together for 3 years now and we normally keep a date in august. Mainly due to the weather being more steady and warmer, but with these changes only God (JU???) knows what it will be this year! We normally decide on the date sometimes in march/April when me and hubby has a brief idea as to how our summers looking. I am going to a lecture in mental health on the 3/2 and I will then met with the tester and have a chat about the possibility for them to come down and run a mental test for bb's at this summer BBQ. It's not ALL booze and party Ewa

Hear you guys all experienced what Shaun will do with a bottle of good whiskey - so thats why one shouldn't bring whiskey for Shaun. May I remind you that there's a difference between whisky and whiskey ? - both can be splendid, but only one may be named 'scotch' ... And both deserve to be enjoyed pure, or slightly diluted with proper water, and certainly NO COKE !!! - that's what bourbon is invented for ! ;D August is fine too - no problem ! Albert.
