Hi Julie,
I think the problem with testing for an even temperament is that people have yet to agree what this means - some people want a dog no-one else can touch and some want a dog that anyone can touch. In the UK I think it will be very difficult to get un-biased testing when there is such disagreement amongst breeders. Sadly this has been the way with many new breeds.

what is the height limit for a male and for a female under EBBASA. as you may know yogi is rather on the large size, jan I found this at EBBASAs homepage ( www.ebbasa.com ) · Disqualifying Characteristics - General Appearance · Clumsy, unbalanced appearance and/or movement · Too large and/or too heavy · Too small and/or too light · Any sign of any other breed of dog · Males over 68cm to shoulder · Males under 64cm to shoulder · Females over 66cm to shoulder · Females under 60cm to shoulder

I should also mention that when EBBASA hold their general assembly, members can vote by proxy. With SABT you have to turn up at the meeting in order to have a vote. Seeing that the meetings are held in South Africa, not many foreigners attend.
