I have had lots of invites by people to see there dogs after expressing my intrest in this breed.I will be taking up as many of these as i can so a can get a really good idea of what is really out there. However and please excuse my ignorance but when there is an appraisal are there lots of dogs present from all over the area. Is it viewed as aday out and thefore a good place to see different breeders and breed types??

An appraisal would be the perfect day to see lots of dogs and bb-people - As long as your strong skinned and can ignore the politics Otherwise come to Sweden and see me and my friends I don't do politics Ewa

An appraisal is a good way of meeting owners and seeing very different types of the breed. There are politics and differences of opinions in ALL breeds. We showed for years and believe me it is not unique to the BB world. As is the type issue, there are different types within ALL breeds too.The best advice I can give is to find a breeder who you feel personally comfortable with.Ask lots of questions, see how they interact with all their dogs, how do their dogs interact with you and/or each other, are they social animals, are they slightly reserved,do you want a social animal,do want a more reserved dog.Anyway,I'm going off at a tangent, there are a million things to ask, make a note before you visit but you usually have a feeling about what is right.Be aware of people who seem to be bad mouthing others, not usually a good sign.Good Luck.

Hi Guys Its a very good day out. I'm abit like Buse - chasing butterflies , head in the clouds & skin like a Rhino, so never been bothered by whatever politics are going on around Ju

You are certainly welcome to see our dogs, we have 24 of them right now. We live 1½ hours away from Stanstead airport, at www.ryanair.com tickets are as little as £10 each way to Esbjerg. Regards Shaun

I would suggest you decide what you want the dog for and then go and see and talk to as many owners/breeders as possible.Listen to what they have to say and decide for yourself if this is the dog for you and where you want to buy your dog from. That is assuming that the breeder thinks that you would be suitable for one of their dogs.Hope this helps regards Paul.
