Hi all Our boy is called Reuben, and he's 14 months old. He has a lovely temperament and is great with our kids. He's the first Boerboel we've had (had boxers for years before) and he's been such a good choice. I have to say, I thought I'd experienced strong dogs before, but I was wrong! I have never felt such power in an animal, the strength he has is unreal. As regards his size, he's not overly tall, but he is quite muscular; he has a 27" neck and not sure what he weighs, haven't done that in a while, but I would think he's around 10 stones or similar. His head is huuuge!! The breeder and other owners keep telling us he's got loads of growing to do, but I can't imagine him being much bigger! Anyway, here's some pics of him growing up, the last ones taken just a few days ago (after all, that's the best bit isn't it)

Reuben looks absolutely great! He also seem to be a very well socialised bb, regarding the pix with your family. If there's one thing to remember with a bb it's socialise, socialize, socialize! Work, work , and work some more during their first 2 years and you'll have a great dog for family. Don't - and you'll have somebody who'll guard you, but maybe not the way you were thinking. The socialized dog will guard you - just as well as the other one but she/he will just take that split second of instruction - "do we have a sharp situation/or don't we" from looking at you and taking your instructions. THAT is what a GOOD bb is like the one that works on it own - won't care about your instructions in a sharp situation so please go for training and socializing. Ewa
