I'm sure there have been many one liners to some up the Boerboel but thought posting a few funnies of your own might be good. Was in tesco's earlier this week[all go i no] and saw a 'T shirt on which was printed 'How very dare you!' only funny if you watched Catherine Tate and i no at least one person on the forum does.
My T shirt would of course have that line from Little Britain.. 'I wont one of those!'

How do your know a boerboel has been in your garden?
You have a mud patch in place of a lawn.

Our place is a nightmare at the moment with all the rain we had yesterday especially. When I feed pups at 5am I close off the big garden so I'm not having to chase them all over the place, now they can climb the fence and it was pandemonium this morning trying to catch them.It is worthy of the Benny Hill end tune being played!!

Hi Sandra,
I always turn the puppies loose before feeding and then call them when food is ready - very quickly they learn to run to the food - even though they have only been away from food for 10 minutes! It is an impressive sight watching puppies running from all directions. Saves chasing and searching. You just have to go look for the one who stuffed himself full just before they went out. (Usually found up to mischief inside a bush!!!).
Puppies still respond to "the call" when much older and often wiggle like puppies - they just associate that sound with being little and squiqqly.

I think that a 't' shirt with grannies favourite saying splashed across the front would look good out walking Buse.Even funnier if plod stopped you to asked as to what breed she is..

Normally works but the Akitas are VERY stubborn, independant dogs, even as pups!

Hi Simon Yep it would be funny - but 'unfortunately' we introduced Buse to all local uniformed varieties when she was a pup. Not working that hard - couldn't stand to wait until nightfall to take her out 'for fear of being seen' etc like some BB owners are doing. But then, I am not in their neck of the woods - nor would wish to be.We are surrounded by OAPs who all absolutely adore Buse & feel safer for her being there. We have keys for everyones house when they are away etc so it is a real community spirit. By the way did you ever meet up with Jon & Saint ? Ju

Hi JU, I'm lucky in that my neighbour is old bill so don't think i should have to many problems if my wish is granted. Saying that I've not seen a sole during the evening walks with my r'r for at least 2mths.Some times i only see my dog at the start and finish of the walk. Roll on those light evenings!!

Hi Simon We are lucky in that loads of people know us & Buse & when & where we tend to take her if we go out in the dark. Never any problems with whatever dogs she meets (Unless its a collie - 1 tried to 'mount' her when she was very young).I found out yesterday that a lady down the avenue gave her American PB away as she couldn't put up with the pressure from 'ignoramouses' when out for a walk. He was a lovely boy & wish she had let me know i'd have taken him in - but I think unfortunately he's gone to 'pikeys'.At least with a RR they look nothing like a BB/ PB - although saying that Buse has a very dark streak of hair that goes from her crown down to her tail - so contsantly we get people saying 'What a lovely RR' Pleased you met with Jon - no I haven't as yet even met Jon, (Let alone Saint - whom I'm dying to meet)sadly/happily he wasn't at the Ebbasa appraisal in Devon. Some one did however mistake him for my Hubby. Wouldn't know how to compare LOLAOY JU ;D
