Just to let you all know a story about me placing a puppy witha family.I advertised the pups with the line, all homes and prospective owners will be strictly vetted. So after having a visit from a family I went out to do a home visit.I knew from the area that they stayed in that this was not where I wanted to place a puppy,no matter how lovely the owners were or how knowledgeable I found them on the breed and similar breeds in the past. After phoning to explain this I was met with indifference from the prospective owners but have now had a threatening call from the man's son about the situation, making all sorts of threats, the police have now been contacted. If there are any other people out there who are due a litter and want to know details in case they decide to contact yourselves please e-mail me privately. I will always standby the fact that I place my pups in the correct homes/areas no matter how long I have to run pups on for. Just a bit while I'm on about re-homing.Layla has now been placed in a fantastic family home with an older couple who used to foster ex-racing greyhounds and rescue dogs.I have been to visit and new owners have phoned twice already to say how well she has settled in.She went free gratis as I had previously stated that she would, not for £600.LOL ;D

Way to go Sandra! Sorry to hear they are threatening you but in this world - unfortunately - nothing surprises me! Hope it settles quick.
Good to hear Layla's got a good place. Ewa

Hi Sandra, Good to hear that you have found a good home for Layla. It is well worth the wait for the right people to come along. Sorry to hear you are having trouble with prospective owners but I admire your courage in telling people to their face that they can't have one. In the past I have chickened out and used the "Oh sorry they are already sold" line. We have been fortunate to be able to put off most people who have seemed unsuitable. It is absolutely the right thing to do refusing to let someone have a puppy and the law is totally on your side. People have no right to buy something - the rights are all on the side of the seller. Hope the police successfully sort them out - if not we'll have to bring in the heavy squad Geri
