Just to let you all know that we have re-homed Della with a puppy that went a few weeks ago then called Snippet. The reason we have re-homed her is that although she has perfect elbows and a superb temperament she has slightly less than perfect hips,so she is being spayed. The family came today and she just adores the kids and the puppy, now called Neo.She is only 5 mins away and they will come to visit every couple of weeks to keep up the dogs socialization and take them across the fields. I'm actually shocked that her hips weren't perfect as she has the most wonderful movement and strongest rear end I've ever seen.At least it solves the dilemma of 'Do I want to breed a piebald?' LOL!!!

Thats good news in one way Sandra At least she has company with little Neo & they're only just down the road. Why does this board have so many responsible breeders? Ju

Good news for Della and her new owners. Sad that you won't get to breed on her but that's the way it is in breeding. The best looking dogs often turn out not the best breeders. Of course Anne's Bella is an exception! Well Done Sandra!

I would agree about Bella, she is a stunner! Razzy is not the best looking BB,well she is in my eyes, but some of her offspring are very good. Can you believe that of all of her first litter tested they have come in under 12 for hips and perfect elbows except the bloomin' one I have myself, never mind,as you say, that is breeding! I don't dare to count up the cost of everything that has went wrong in the last 6mths!

It might be worthwhile giving her a PennHIP test before you completely write her off. The results from the British test rely on some very unreliable parameters, ie Norberg angle. What if there was an incorrect measurement? I personally think that given how difficult it is to get a female worth breeding on, I would give her the chance to prove herself through PennHIP.

No Shaun,I'm just going to let it go,saves me the embarrassment of being disqualified wrongly again at the appraisal!! ;D I was not 100% that I was ever going to breed from her anyway.

Sandra, I think that is a wise decision. Don't give them the opportunity Geri
