Hi! We are Ewa and Göran, but mostly Ewa on the PC We live in the very south of Sweden and have 2 bb's, Mubi, 5 years and Chili, 2 years old. We've been into bb's since 2000 and before that we used to have English springer spaniels. Our girls are spoilt rotten and sleep on the couch but they also has to do a bit of work for their keep! Mubi does agility and excells in it! Chili does (rescue) search training and will start tracking soon. Since the breeding situation in Sweden really is in a mess we seem to spend most of our time preaching the importance of health and temperament testing on bb's. Unfortunatly I don't have a son that can help with pics so ......sorry! But The girls have their own homepage; chili.arivene.net/index.php If you go to the calender and click on the bluemarked dates you will find clickable photos at the bottom. So far the text is only in swedish but given time....the sky is the limit! Regards Göran & Ewa

Hello,
I am Jonathan, owner of 1 BB male called Saint. I originally signed up on the board to read Shauns viewpoint + after reading a few posts have been impressed with the positive/ constructive ideals. My pet hate is politics within the BB world and am here to discuss dogs. I like to be as impartial as possible and distance myself from being considered part of any cliques. Hopefully I will be able to add positive input on the board.

Hi Jonathon Please can I ask - you have 1 BB - do you have any other dogs? We had a RR before we had Buse but had to rehome due to serious 'bitch' fighting between them. Buse is a stand alone dog , but is very sociable with other dogs as long as they're not part of the family. Is this something you have found with Saint ? Ju

I own 2 adult neo mastiff females + A neo puppy from a recent breeding.
My males/females all get on well.
I also own 5 spanish Alano's in Spain that are coming over shortly (I will be breeding).
I am looking to import a couple of rugged female neo's from Serbia for breeding. I am trying to breed old type rugged/protective neo's.

Hi Jan It was stomach cancer The week of my 40th I looked at her & she looked at me & you just so know when they are not ok. I took her to the vets who confirmed the worst , said I could take her home that night & bring her back in the morning if I wanted. As if ! Not meaning to sound harsh ,, but why would I want to do that! One of the other probs with it was that in coming home to the kids minus Rio - they just couldn't understand why I'd 'killed' their dog. It was a very quiet household for a few days with neither kids speking to me ! Hey Ho ! Ju

Post by Hi from germany on Aug 26, 2006 18:38:39 GMT
Hi, my name is Meike and I come from germany. This will be my excuse for my poor english I am the owner of Anasha Bakkies and Spike an 12 1/2 year old Amstaff/AmPit Crossbreed. Some of you already know my boys. Bakkies is trained as a service dog. I have the great opportunity to work together with service dog trainers and the police of northern germany (my boyfried is a K9 ofiicer and owns a Malinois). You can find pictures of Bakkies on my homepage www.boerboel-info.de or in my forum which is the biggest in germany with a lot of BB fanatics. It´s great to have a "real" forum now as well as the Yahoo groups (which I do not like very much, I think a forum like this is much easier to handle). This is us at the EBBASA Appraisal in Denmark this year You can also find more information about Bakkies here: www.supreme-boerboels.deRegards and all the best for this forum Meike

Hello everyone my name is Caroline and my husbands name is Michael. We have 1 bb called Anasha Archie. He is a very dominant and extremely loyal male. I have owned in the past an English Bull Terrier, Bullmastiff and an English Mastiff. In the past I showed our Mastiff bitch at Champ Shows and Crufts. At six she died of heart failure. She literally just died on the spot with no warning and I still feel the loss. I am just thankful that we were at home and not out somewhere.
I love mastiffs and when our Bullmastiff died of cancer at 9 we still had our English Mastiff. We decided we wanted a Mastiff that was as healthy as possible, agile, faithful and a good guard. I had never heard of a Boerboel and was looking through an old dog newspaper hoping for some inspiration when I saw an advertisement for Boerboel puppies. I read the description and then went onto the internet. I had researched so many other breeds and each had its reservations. I had made a list of qualities I wanted in a dog and each breed I had held to it had come up short. But everything in my list matched the Boerboel.
We went to meet Paul and Geri and were interviewed to make sure we would make suitable owners. We were impressed with their professionalism, if only more people took this process so seriously. We were not shown any puppies until after this.
When the pups were six weeks we went to pick our puppy. We had second choice so we were worried someone else may have picked the one we wanted. I saw him straight away. He was the one following his mother Kayser Bella. It was really wonderful to also meet Anne. We were at no stage rushed to pick our puppy and we were made very welcome. The atmosphere was friendly and relaxed and we were all in the garden with the puppies running around. Kayser Bella played with me with a toy and we saw what a lovely connection she had with Anne. I picked up Archie and he snuggled into me. He was truly a beautiful puppy and so healthy.
At 8 weeks we went to pick him up and were really happy to meet Shaun. Archie had been bathed and he had a piece of his mothers bedding for her scent.
We left happy and we have never been disappointed with our Little Man, which was his nickname for quite a long time.
Since approx. 12 weeks Archie has been to Dog Training. We go every Sunday to Mike Mullan who lives approx. 30 miles away. We have known Mike for approx. 18 years. There we train Archie and also train other people with their dogs. We train them in a class situation and also on a 1 to 1 basis when people have extra problems with handling etc.
I hope this is okay. I felt a little shy at first. I will try to join in. Caroline
